Is Forex for you?

By Grace Cheng on August 17, 2006 | More Posts By Grace Cheng | Author's Website

From the emails I have received, it seems that many more people are now getting interested in Forex trading, and I perceive it as a sign that people are now recognising that Forex is an interesting alternative to other assets such as stocks or options, just like I did before. The first thing that most people ask is, "How do I find out if Forex trading is for me?"

When I first started out with Forex, I was merely testing the waters because I found from experience that I personally did not like trading the other asset classes, and did not want to be limited by them. My passion grew as I learnt more and more about how the Forex market works, and how I can take advantage of its short-term volatility for profit opportunities. My advice to people who are considering Forex is that they first learn as much as they can about it, and then open a demo trading account to try it for a while.

Forex trading is an extreme intellectual pursuit, and is not meant for those who are not serious about it. That said, if you know how to harness its potential, you can stand to reap the rewards.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Forex trading.
