Australia July Private Sector Credit Up 0.5%
(RTTNews) - Private sector credit in Australia increased a seasonally adjusted 0.5 percent in July compared to June, according to data released Friday by the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Private sector credit rose 11.2 percent from one year earlier.
The RBA said credit to the housing sector increased 0.5 percent on month in July, and was up 9.8 percent from a year earlier.
Personal sector credit declined 0.7 percent on month in July, and was 3.0 percent higher than a year earlier.
Credit to the business sector was higher by 0.7 percent on month and was up 15.0 percent for the year.
