Cyprus Trade Deficit Narrows in August
(RTTNews) - Friday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus announced that the trade deficit stood at EUR481.4 million in August, smaller than the EUR 668.1 million recorded in July.
During the period, exports totaled EUR82.8 million, down from EUR109.8 million in July.
Total imports reached EUR564.2 million, smaller than July’s EUR 777.9 million.
For the first eight months of the year, trade deficit stood at EUR 4.1 billion compared with EUR 3.4 billion last year.
