Norway Sept. Annual Inflation Accelerates To 20-Year High
(RTTNews) - Friday, the Statistics Norway announced that the consumer price inflation increased to 5.3% year-over-year in September from 4.5% recorded in August. This was the highest annual inflation since December 1988.
On a monthly basis, the CPI climbed 1.5% in September, much larger than a 0.1% rise seen in the prior month.
During January to September period, the CPI increased 3.8% over a year ago.
In September, the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices, or HICP increased 4.8% year-on-year, after rising 4.1% in August. Month-on-month, the HICP moved up 1.4% in September.
